Joe Rogan Lays the Smackdown

Those of you familiar with Stand-up comedy will know the worst thing you can do is steal another comics jokes, just as bad as welching on a bet...Carlos Mencia (real Name Ned Holness) and Honduran and German who pretends he's mexican is notorious for stealing jokes from other comedians. Joe Rogan of Fear Factor/UFC/Man Show Fame confronts him on stage.

There is a radio interview floating around between Jim Brewer and Joe Rogan after this happened. The agent the dropped Rogan is only his comedy agent (he is also menstruals), not his TV agent, and comedy is far from his bread and butter. Rogan basically said Mencia calling him a ***** and acting tough was like a poodle yapping at his pant leg. He says a lot of comics are afraid to stand up to bigger comics that steal their material and cited his "comedy store expulsion" as an example...He's already rich and they are banning him, what would they do to the career of a struggling young comic.

Glad to see Rogan stand up to this guy and basically make him out to be a total fool.

Self Depricateing humor is the easiest to throw out there,,, just like a brother makeing fun of his blackness,,, its the get out of jail free card to use raceist material.

Joe Rogan should go ona PRESS tour immediately,, that would get this whole thing out in the open and put a HUGE black eye on carlos, and let that be a wrning to the other joke theives out there.

As a matter of fact, I think about a year or so ago before Stern went to Sirius, Rogan or someone was on the show talking about this topic,,,, and saying there were a few other cats out there doing the same thing,,,,

I was chatting with a Comedian friend of mine about this and he was saying the comedians used to call Robin Williams "Cool Hand Mork" because he could steal 50 jokes an hour

I think thats the guy they were talking aobut a year or so ago,,, robin W. and the story went something like,,, some LG named comedians would see Robin walk into a club in PHili, and they would stop their show Right then and there,, and walk off,,, people owuld boo, but the comedians were sick of him making it off their backs.

I was actually thinking of doing standup and i realized that coming up with material is tough. Everytime i thnk of something funny i write it down. Over the last 2 months, i have like 5 minutes of material.

Mencina is not funny and what he does on stage is not Mexican. It is that ignorant So Cal/LA hybred thing that ignorant white people think is Mexican. Mexicans can be funny but you need to speak spanish to understand the jokes.
