Jordan Spieth failed to contend in the last three major championships after tying for second at the Masters and lamented his putting in the last two. "Pretty strange, but The Open was the same way,'' Spieth said after shooting 68 to tie for 12th at the PGA. "Just waiting for it all to click. I believe it will soon. I've been putting a lot of time into the rest of my game and maybe that's kind of shifted a little from the short game and maybe I just shift it back that way.'' Spieth will now take a few weeks off before gearing up for the FedEx Cup playoffs and Ryder Cup.
