The Saints had no update on Jimmy Graham (ankle) at coach Aaron Kromer's Monday morning press conference.

Kromer simply said that Graham sprained his ankle and is being checked out Monday afternoon. We should know more by Tuesday, before the Saints take some time off for their bye week. Graham was spotted wearing a walking boot after Sunday night's win.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Saints are "uncertain" whether Jimmy Graham (ankle) will be active for Week 7.

It's beginning to sound like Graham suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 5. Graham played through the injury against the Chargers, but the fact he missed today's practice coming off New Orleans' bye week would seem to rule out a garden-variety sprain. The New Orleans Times-Picayune considers Graham "very questionable" for Week 7. We'll know more on Thursday, but owners need to have a contingency plan ready.

Saints interim coach Aaron Kromer is still holding out hope that Jimmy Graham (ankle) will be available in some capacity versus the Bucs in Week 7.

Calling Graham a "mismatch," Kromer gave off a few hints that his tight end would be valuable even if it was mostly in a decoy role to draw defensive attention away. "Jimmy is mentally ready and he's a very tough guy," Kromer said via WWLTV.com, "so pain doesn't affect him ... He'll know the game plan." We're not wild about Graham's fantasy potential this week, but it's going to be hard to leave him on fantasy benches if he gets the green light Sunday morning.

Saints declared TE Jimmy Graham, RB Chris Ivory, LB David Hawthorne, CB Elbert Mack, DE Turk McBride, DT Tyrunn Walker, and OT Bryce Harris inactive for Week 7 against the Bucs.

Graham didn't travel to Tampa Bay with the team and is out with an ankle injury. We'll have plenty of updates on the tight end throughout the upcoming week. David Thomas will start in his place. Ivory is fifth in the running back pecking order. Jonathan Vilma will likely slide into Hawthorne's (hamstring) spot at weak-side 'backer.

Coach Joe Vitt says the Saints "feel good" about Jimmy Graham's (ankle) Week 8 status.

Graham won't test his ankle before Wednesday's practice, but he must have been close to suiting up for Sunday's win over the Bucs. Now over two weeks removed from injuring his ankle against the Chargers, Graham can be tentatively expected to return against the Broncos. Even if he's less than 100 percent, he'll remain a top-three option at tight end.

Interim coach Joe Vitt believes Jimmy Graham (ankle) has a chance to be "full go" in Wednesday's practice.

The news keeps getting better for Graham's Sunday night outlook at Denver. Barring a surprising setback, Graham will rejoin the starting lineup against a Broncos defense allowing the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends.

Jimmy Graham (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

According to coach Joe Vitt, Graham was limited to "land-based" activities, and "ran routes on air." Whatever that means. However, Vitt did add Graham looked "very, very good." Beat writer Mike Triplett believes Graham "still seems questionable," but is "obviously getting closer to a return." It's not a slam dunk that Graham is ready for Sunday's showdown with the Broncos, but there's reason for his owners to be optimistic.

Jimmy Graham (ankle, questionable) made the trip to Denver but is still considered a game-time decision.

Graham didn't make the trip to Tampa Bay last week, so he's at least making progress. He put in limited practices all week, and he added that if the decision were up to him he would play. With the teams not kicking off until Sunday night, it would be quite a risk to leave Graham in fantasy lineups. Owners with a quality back-up would be better off leaving Graham on the bench, and owners without one would be foolish not to find a TE2. Graham is a full-fledged game-time decision.
