this kind of sucks, i like the dogs today -- and as we all know (thanks to 6th) that that flies in the face of the home team deal

this is a very tuff spot for the rams to try to correct what went wrong in their last game of the year vs the lowly lions. remember, they neede to win this game!!! all starters olayed the entire game w/ the exception of bulger getting knocked out in the 4th (but i consider warner a starter as well). they couldn't run; they couldn't pass; they couldn't stop the run; they couldn't stop the pass!!!
now, they must make adjustments against imo one of the best def's in the nfl. tuff spot to get well. i've always said it is important to win your last game -- needed win or not; especialyy the non-neccessary games (just ask the bronco's and the cowboys). further excacerbating the situation is martz -- i DO NOT think much of him anyways, but perhaps, in this situation he might be to arrogant to really address the tangible problems and have the team fully prepared. fox's team will be prepared!
the only thing that hurt's us here is if the rams get off to a fast start; the crowd gets into the game; and the panthers get out of theirs.
if the panthers stay focussed, stick to their gasme plan they have a shot of winning the game outright. if not they lose by 15. here's to saying they can --

I am with you on this one Hansen. My reasoning is much the same as yours. Very difficult for the Rams to adjust totally from what happened in Detroit. Detroit moved the ball at will on them. I think Carolina defense shows up big and they control the ball against the Rams. Wouldn't be surprised to see them win straight up.

he can single-handedly ruin my day! the panther have a great corp of lb's, but really no lb in the league can stay with MF. i look for him not having the opportunity to get out of the backfield as much as martz would like -- the rams ol will need a lot of help today against the likes of jenkins, rucker, and peppers. also look for a lot of s. davis, and short in-bound passes from jake -- trying to grind it out -- keeping the "greatest show..." off the turf for as long as possible. for even if the panthers manage to get a lead, they must guard against the quick strike ability of the rams o.

have to get down now with this, would rather wait to see how things go in the first game, but will not be around later. tonite:

tennesee covers, possibley wins tonite on sure guts and heart. i know the entire counrty is focussed on " they are beat up, the weather, and the pats home record". again, i'm throwing cation to the wind and taking the road dog here. unlike, the 1st game i like BOTH coaches here, but i think the titans have that seize the moment mentality. they've been so close so many times and are well aware that the opportunity doesn't come a knocking all that often. i know we might lose george during the game, but i think brown is more than capable, probably a little less heart, but a lot more athletic. this will be a battle remeniscent of the ice bowl, should be fun -- hopefully it will be close.
