Thanx, I started the season off real poor, i think 76-77 at one point. But I have taken off now. Hopefully it continues thru the Summer.

No, the picks are free. I started off the exact opposite of you. Went up some 15 units in the first 2 weeks, then went a 20 unit swing down, and am currently on a 7 or so unit upswing that I'm thinking will slowly crawl up the rest of the year. Best of luck.

Both. I've learned my lesson about thinking I can win at sports with just a solid month of background searching. I won about 1-5 units in NHL, NCAAB, NCAAF, and NFL but lost something like 30 in NBA and should have known better as it hurt me the season before as well. MLB is my specialty and I'm looking to come close to the 36.7 units I won last year. So far I'm at even. We'll see.

Even though its probably true...Just doesn`t work in this industry...Funny, the greasier the tout , it almost seems the better?

Hypothetical question....

If a capper in here ends the season 70 games over .500 and up alot of units, would the people in here get real angry if he decided to go Tout. Or will they say that he earned and deserves it?

More to the point...
Did Jake's success last year earn him the right to go Tout and NOT get a hard time from the players at the Rx?

Hate to agree with Journeyman, but he's right. Jake played the sympathy card and took a ton of heat. Anyone has the right to charge for picks and as long as they are honest about it, I have no problem.

I don't need a sob story about school books or people "begged" me to go tout. If you are good and think you can make money, go for it. There will be always be haters.

MC, have a plan laid out if you are planning to go tout and don't go tout until next season.

Rooster you make some very good points. Right now I have not really put much thought into being a tout here at the Rx. Yes, if I finish real strong and I feel confident enough to sell my picks, then maybe I will try it. But that as in the very distant future.

One season is not enough. I believe you need to post for at least three years before you can think about going tout. People need to see how you respond when things are going poorly as well as when they are going good.
