The Chiefs looked unstoppable on offense in the first meeting. 27 points was an unusually low total for them to achieve. They consistently sustained drives in that game, and are all the likelier to do so this game with a healthy JuJu Smith-Schuster, the team's second-leading pass-catcher. Jacksonville's pass defense matches up weakly against Mahomes because of his scrambling ability and because he has the NFL's top tight end and a solid receiving back available to him—Jacksonville gives up a lot of receiving yards to tight ends and running backs. When they score around 40, the Trevor Lawrence-led Jaguars won't need to do much against a Chief defense that typically allows even lesser offenses to score around 20 points.
