The Chiefs were lucky to beat the Titans last week and the only reason they did so is because Patrick Mahomes is that good. After staring down the barrel of an eight-point deficit entering the fourth quarter, Mahomes took a 14-yard scamper to the house and then ran in the subsequent two-point conversion to force overtime. A field goal in overtime gave KC the 20-17 victory.
And while the Jaguars have not been very impressive this year, their highly-touted quarterback Trevor Lawrence is making progress but it will be the rushing attack led by Travis Etienne Jr. that will be the difference. KC cannot stop the run and Etienne is the next big thing in running backs. Too many points to refuse here as the Jags chew the clock on the ground and hang within the generous margins.
