I shattered a $2,000 solid surface countertop into about 30 pieces last week. Stuff is brittle.
Also made a couple tops with wrong color. Bosses fault all the way on that one yet he blamed me.
About a month ago my weedeater tossed a small rock and shattered the bottom pane of a two-tier storm door.
It's the kind that slides out and can be swapped for a screen. So client did that and I took the pane into a glass shop and had it repaired for $65.
It was the biggest damage "claim" a client has had to make on me since I was in Texas. Usually it's sprinkler heads or hoses I overlook in tall grass.
The last such claim was same deal...lower pane of back door, but this was in Arlington TX and it was a regular heavy wooden door with glass panels.
My first time at this person's house and he was real cool about it. I didn't charge him and since we had agreed for me to be the regular lawn guy he fixed it himself and I think I did like four mows (about $100) for him.
During which time I learn he's the Director of Operations at The Ballpark in Arlington.
We settled the door thing and I kept taking care of his yard and he tells me, "Any time you want to do a game, just call my office and I'll give you a pair of tickets"
I went to probably 50 games over next two summers before leaving to move here to Florida.
