Bukis, John Wooden is the ONLY coach that can be mentioned with Coach Bryant.

Both made players and assistant coaches better then maybe they were.

Both...best of the best.

John Madden deserves an honorable mention

LOL. That fatass deserves of 4 weeks of nothing but non fat food so science can better understand the mind of a fat guy. Will he go thru withdrawls? Will he become violent on a diet of oatmeal? Will he die from the sudden shock? Will he grow another chin or lose 1? If you put him on a treadmill for 3 minutes, what will happen?

In terms of pure basketball, hard to top Bob Knight as he won with very few NBA players. His problem was he could never evolve like you see with Coach K. Coach K was once like Knight. Targeted the 4 year players but it became obvious, most of them just were not athletic enough (Greg Paulus) to guard or play with some of these future 1 and done guys. Now you see Duke have a couple 1 and done guys every year. I don't think Bob Knight ever had a guy leave early for the NBA.

John Wooden was before my time but weren't all of those teams just stacked from top to bottom when there was not much parity in college basketball and you only had to win 4 games or something to win a National Championship.
