Isthe size of the hard drive important

Going to get new notebook and finding two that i like. one has a hard drive of 160 while the other 320. Is this very important /

160 is way more than enough-no reason to pay for the larger drive

If Xp is on it, get at least 1gb of ram

Vista is on it and i am so used to XP. I will probably have it removed and have xp installed. Is this something that is done ? I notice a lot of poster's not crazy about Vista.

It can be done, but will cost you a few bucks(but probably less $$$ than it would cost to install as much memory as you'd need to run Vista).

2 gigs of laptop memory should run about 70 dollars, thats assuming your laptop uses ddr2, which im pretty sure it does.
160 should be fine, i doubt you will ever even reach 1/10th its capacity since you're just using it for browsing.
