Speaker Ryan released the following statement:
“I am sickened by what I heard today. Women are to be championed and revered, not objectified. I hope Mr. Trump treats this situation with the seriousness it deserves and works to demonstrate to the country that he has greater respect for women than this clip suggests. Donald Trump bragged in vulgar terms about kissing, groping and trying to have sex with women during a 2005 conversation caught on a hot microphone — saying that “when you’re a star, they let you do it” — according to a video obtained by The Washington Post.
The story was quickly and eagerly picked up by all the Clinton propaganda machine, such as The New York Times and Clinton News Network.
Even Hillary Clinton herself jumped to capitalize on the newly-unleased dirt, tweeting:
