Here is my take...off the cuff....
1. Gonzaga wins and is conference champion...yes, coming off a big win over St. Marys, but they know they need this to finish it off.
2. Gonzaga has a pretty deep bench and a lot of talent....these are the kind of games where Few can play a deeper rotation if the starting group is flat....guys coming off the bench will bring this team fire b/c they are given a chance to play....gonzaga's depth is shown by the fact that they are a very good 2nd half team
3. Santa Clara -- you may be asking what Santa Clara is playing for....you have a team that has lost 4 out of 6, including a loss to bottom feeder Portland over the weekend.....what motivation do they have?
4. Santa Clara has a very short bench, with a big drop off after the top 6.....gonzaga's depth will bury this team down the stretch....
I keep my ears open and try to learn from the best.....one of the best of all time (goes by the name Boston) was doing a show about a week ago when discussing an angle very similar to tonight.....he mentioned that you wnat to look for road teams that may be "playing out the string" and short on motivation and remaining energy.....santa clara seems to fit the bill....they aren;'t deep and they have played like a tired group over the last few weeks.....
Gonzaga rolls em up in a big ole woooooop ass party to end the regular season.......
churchboy, if you are taking SC, you better get on your knees and pray to god for some help......just my 2 cents
