Ranking college teams early in the season is just a crapshoot. When teams are winning because of guys that have never played college ball or just played one season off the bench you have to be crazy to think rankings mean anything.

Nevada was easily the consensus choice to win the WAC this year, they almost won it last year but had to play on the home floor of the top team in the league and came up a little short in the final. They got all the key pieces back. The WAC is a solid second tier conference, teams like Fresno, Tulsa, and Hawaii all do quite well out of conference so it shouldn't surprise anyone this team can stay with even the best teams on the road.

there is no doubt in my mind that CT is the #1 team in the land right now! they can play so many rotations (as they did tonight against a good Nevada team) with their #1 all-american on the bench with foul problems.....with their NBA prospect...on the bench because of NCAA travel investigations...with their point less than 100% (turf toe)and still score 93pts....they have not hit their stride yet (for many reasons) WHO is better???????? and who is going to beat them???

Oh......I would not play this team at these pointspreads....The early schedule will provide for much experimentation, many different rotations and every team to play CT will be sky high....Jimmy C will use early schedule to ready for the Big East and March
