They only had on retail tenant open in March when they were forced to close due to the virus. The mall is mired in debt. They were projecting 109,000 visitors a day when the entertainment complex opened during the first three months they were only averaging 9,000 visitors a day. I think many of their projected tenants have filed bankruptcy. I know that one of the anchor tenants have and will never open. The Forbes article is one of many you can find online. Their indoor waterpark was asking $70-$80 a person.$40-$50 for the amusement park. On paper their attractions such as an NHL size rink, indoor ski slopes, miniature golf courses seem like a good idea for the Northeast. Indoor entertainment complexes should do well during the Winter. I had posted about the mall before but that was when there was no virus. The mall has taken over two decades to complete. Right now the American Dream's future couldn't be worse.
