Is Marlon Brando the greatest actor of all time?

The thing about Brando, is that most of the other great actors mentioned in this thread, took something from Brando.

No doubt he was great but to Brando acting was merely a means of earning a living.

That is correct, initially started out acting just for a paycheck.
However after successful stage plays, he took acting very seriously, and took it to not just the next level, but the next three levels.
