But I think he's done. Hard to heal from bone on bone.

The guy paid dearly for the toughness he used to play the slot in the short middle play after play with assassins all around him every time.

But he was intending to report to the Pats until they cut him and then he decided to retire. You oughta know, your guy, your team and you should have a better perspective from your local sports media there. I think the door is slightly ajar.

The guy couldn't pass a physical after knee surgery in October.

And I'm speculating that he wasn't close. The Pats aren't cutting a Julian Edelman who they think has a chance to contribute. Belichick knows what he meant to this team.

Belli never cut Brady or Gronk.
