Not want to have kids? Frickin Bush, Elephants, Donkeys...you name it they can't go two sentences without talking about family and children. I don't want them. I can't stand them. Let everyone else have them, why must I hear all about protecting some children that I don't want? I got married already so no thanks to Bush's 1 and some change billion on telling me how great it is to stay married, but I don't want kids. Is there going to be some 5 billion program promoting being a goddamn parent? Does this attitude get me on some Patriot Act or John ASS-croft hit list?

Yeah Bush hates independent thinkers, athiests, logic and civil rights.

I truly have no Idea how anyone who follows politics, and the world around us, can vote for Bush.

It truly frightens me.

His presidency, particulaly the patriot act, and his way of making it seem that dissention to his views makes you unpatriotic, is a little too Orwellian for me.

The idea of a nation (or church, or any type of state) reproducing at a rate of 1:1 has long been the dream of most leaders ... think about it, your population should at the very least remain constant if it is to continue to support the level of economic (etc.) growth and prosperity that it has enjoyed over the past century -- and when population levels are threatened (as they are with the rise of feminism and birth control) then the state must look to immigration to fill those voids. Now, that in mind, what do you think Bush would prefer? Americans making American babies, or opening the doors a little wider?

No KMAN, they don't tell me to have babies. On the other hand when every politician it seems, from both parties I add, always want to talk about things from the perspective of family and kids. Does this mean I am not welcome to the party because I don't follow along and have kids? It just bothers me that we get lectured on so many domestic policies with the framework of how it affects kids. Even more I don't get how there are endless tax credits and tax ideas with them in mind. Kids are a choice, someone else's choice. Why should I pay for their tax cut?

As for population growth. I think we have plenty of people that are in this country that can speak for my share of kids. Everyone in my office spends endless time gushing over what their little prodigy is doing. It leads me to wonder.

Our big boss has no kids and sometimes talks offhand about how people are wasting their time on non-business chatter. I say 75% or more of it is on their kids. If she actually said these things officially to people would she be chastised by a politician for being rude to parents and their kids?
