Is it a waste of money to buy new shoelaces or should I just clean them?

My mom always told me to buy new ones. But I find myself just washing the old ones in the sink and saving the $$$

Call me cheap, but I kinda like using the old ones over and over.

Never learned how to tie shoes.Use Velcro.

i don't like the velcro. It kinda leaves a red mark on the tippy of my feet. I think that the circulation of the blood is better when using laces rather than velcro(just my 2 cents!)

I find it a waste of 30 seconds each day to tie shoes with laces.
