I'd at LEAST call him the Marion Barber of WR'ing. He's got more talent then MB III though, obviously, and the positions are not the same.

He may not be the best (that is hard to determine) but he demonstrated (last Sunday) that he is one of the very best.

Where is Boldin?? Boldin missed 4 games and still caught 89 balls for +1000 and 11 Td's.

1. Andre Johnson
2. Larry Fitzgerald
3. Anquan Boldin
4. Randy Moss
5. Brandon Marshall
6. Plaxico Buress
7. Steve Smith
8. Greg Jennings
9. Reggie Wayne
10. Calvin Johnson

Not much love for Randy Moss...

I think he's still in the mix. I can't argue about Fitz or Andre either. Randy set all kinds of records one short season ago, he's not done.

Fans didn't know to much about him because he plays for Arizona and not too many of their games were on tv. Even Vegas didn't know about him because a prop was : who has more receiving yards Wayne or Fitzgerald at 11/10? I jumped all over Fitfzgerald. Another easy prorp winner

I think it is:

First Tier (in order):
A Johnson
Fitz
C Johnson

Clearly these guys are the best three, IMO. C Johnson is a little hard to gauge becuase he has had such poor QBs, but he is clearly an elite talent. I would still give Andre Johnson the edge over Fitz, but it is hard to do.

Second Tier (not in order):
Moss
B Marshall
Boldin

Moss is getting a little older, and his streakiness bumps him down to 2nd tier, IMO. Marshall is an elite talent who hasn't matured enough. Boldin is a notch below elite talent.

Third Tier (no order):
S Smith
TO
Wayne

TO was a top 3 guy a few years ago, but he has clearly dropped off, both mentally and phyically. S Smith is not quite as physically gifted as some of the others, but he is a great WR. Wayne is a notch below even S Smith and TO in terms of talent, but his consistent production is hard to ignore.

4th:
Edwards
Jennings

My buddy lives across the street from Ike Taylor's baby's mother. Before week one we were joking with him and asked him to take it easy on Andre Johnson because we both had him on our rosters in FFB. He laughed and said we should be ok since Andre is one of only two guys he hates covering. He said Andre Johnson and Randy Moss have abilities that nobody else in football possess and they can change a game at any moment. That came from one of the best cover corners in the NFL, so that would be my top two.

1) Andre Johnson
2) Randy Moss
3) Larry Fitz

The difference between Larry and the other two this year (besides a playoff run) is Larry is the only one with an actual QB throwing to him. Imagine what Andre Johnson could do if he had a QB that could hit him in stride or had someone else on the offense that you had to account for to open some space for him.

Not sure where this nonsense about Marshall having catching issues are coming from. I watch him and he's just fine. If anyone wants to complain about anyone having hands issues, look no further than the man in most lists.

Terrell Owens. Butterfingered freak athlete who was big and fast and tall and got by on that, when anyone else who has his case of the dropsies without his athleticism to make up, would've never made pro.

Oh and I think it was the same guy who sai dFitz doesn't have the physical stuff but makes good with what he has. What in the sam blue fuckin hell are you talking about? The guy has all the physical gifts in the world. He's huge, fast, has great hands and great strength. He's up there with freaks like Moss and Marshall.

But to the main question-is Fitz #1....I say no. Is he the best receiver in the playoffs? Christ, of course he is. No one's close. But was he the best all season? No. That goes to Calvin Johnson. With (as previously and acurately stated) a dumpster fire offense, he was amazing. Fitz had one of the most accurate QBs of all time throwing him the ball. Across from one of the best receivers in the game opposite him. And a 1000 yard receiver in the slot.

Johnson had no good QB. No good line to protect the QB and give him time. No good offense at all and a team that looked like they'd given up by week 11. CJ was the best receiver this season to me, all things considered. Not to take anything away from Fitz, but I won't award him anything based on that logic as well. He was second to CJ to me.

I don't know if you can single one guy out as the best--it depends on how they're playing at the time and it ebbs and flows. Obviously, Fitzy is on fire right now.

I really like the Johnsons too--Calvin and Andre. They have pretty close to the same skillset as Fitzy (ok, not as great hands) but are faster. Speed kills, so I'd take them in the long run.

Randy Moss has seen his best days. - Bring on Tom Brady and lets see if Randy had seen his best days. GTFO here with that Garbage. This man is sick. He aint going to the middle to catch a pass but on a 9 route or a jump ball, hands down...no receiver is better. Period.

Terrell Owens drops way too many passes to make my list even without his antics. His antics completely eliminate him from consideration. No matter how good you judge him to be he's a team buster. - So damn true. Before, his sklls made up for his antics but he's not as explosive and drop way toooooo many balls.

Steve Smith is tough, not that fast, but a real gamer once he gets his hands on the ball. - WTF are you smoking? not that fast? The dude was drafted to be a PR and a KR so you know he has to be fast and quick. I bet this dude can out run the media loving larry in a 100 yd anyday. Dont let his small stature fool you. This man is nice.

Hines Ward is similar but has also seen his best days. - Age has caught up

Boldin, is tough, has pretty good hands, and also can gain yardage after the catch. But after his sideline antics yesterday WITH THE OC WHILE ARIZONA WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THEIR MOST IMPORTANT DRIVE OF THE GAME AND THE OC IS TRYING TO CALL PLAYS, I wouldn't want him on my team. He could have cost his team a chance to get to the Big Game. That scene was ridiculous. I'd trade his ass outa there in the offseason. - This is why you are sitting where you are watching the game just like me. One antic woouldnt have cost them the game. Kurt pulls this stunt all the time. Stop listening to the media and follow your own guts.

Haven't seen enough of Marshall. - all talk. Soft ass hell.

Same with Calvin Johnson. -WOW. Look at what he did with the stinky ass Orlovsky. This is the only dude the opposing team have to worry about yet he still eats. He has all the phyiscal traits to be among the greats.

Larry Fitz gets my #1 vote. Complete receiver with a good attitude.

Larry is the type of player that all kids should look up to. Not only does this man symbolize everything good in the game of football but can also speak proper English. I was in awe over his post game interview.

Its amazing how pro-players can't put one coherent sentence together. This from "live wire"...Casey Hampton - "how much a dog surgery was?" Yes, HOW MUCH A DOG SURGERY WAS. Gotta love public schools.

But if I had Brady as my QB, my #1 pick is Moss then Fitz.

Andre Johnson is a beast and the most physically talented WR, but Fitz is the best in the biz right now, much like Rice was the best WR, but not necessarily the biggest or fastest in the league. Oh, and Ike Taylor isn't among the top 20 cover corners in the NFL ... even Steelers fans know that.

best WR's in the game:

1. T.O.
2. Moss
3. Fitz

no arguing there guys...funnny how people bash TO but he is one of the greatest WR's in NFL history no matter how much you hate on him...he is like 34 or something and still tearing it up...hell last season he had like 1400yds and 15 TDs and the yr before he led the league in TDs for WRs...he is old but still a FREAK player. Who has had a MONSTER career...dont believe me? please please pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease go to NFL.com and check his careeer stats up with ANY WR in the history of the game besides RICE.... Randy Moss has similar #'s but TO are a tiny bit better. Anyon ever notice how every single QB that TO has been with has had CAREER seasons? Garcia, McNabb, Romo....he single handedly changes team...and yes he may be a distraction but as far as being the best WR in the game, him and randy are neck and neck...then fitz coming behind.

but any of u clowns putting Steve smith, Andre Johnson, Calvin, Boldin etc.... that is a JOKE they will ALLLLLL be washed up in 4 years...but thats beside the point. just cause you people hate TO and MOSS, dont mean they arent still the best. their #'s dont lie, not matter how much you hate them hahaha so deal with it.

and FITZ..he needs like 3 more consistent good years to be mentioned with the above WRs...anyone can have 4 solid years, but doing it consistently for a long time..now that is impressive!

Fitzgerald has the best pair of hands I've ever seen, and I've seen Rice and Biletnikoff.
Not the greatest wide out I've seen, that was Rice, but the best pair of hands I've seen.

I'd rate Fitzgerald #1, AJ close second in the game today.

And you probably also notice that TO been leading the drop pass category too. I think he's numbers and career would have been absolutely amazing if he would have stayed with the Eagles. Cowboys have so many weapons he just cant be the primary target. Even when he is...he freaken drops a slant route. To me I rather have a WR with solid hands who I know can get me those yards vs some dude who's explosive as he is. Drops are whats hurting TO right now

YES Fitz has the best hands...not arguing there, Marvin harrison and Torry Holt are JUST as good with their hands in case any of you people havent noticed....

BUT yes, TO does have dropped pass and that is ONLY over the last two seasons buddy, there is a drop pass stat, so go look that one up as well.

Could you please look at it from this angle right here: all those dropped passes and he STILL has those ridiculous numbers??? JEEZ! That is sick...that stat alone shows you the pure UNMATCHED natural talent TO has, wether u like him or not. Id say he is the MOST gifted WR physically of all-time by FAR.

Fitz is amazing but I think Calvin Johnson is even better. Obviously it's hard to pay much attention to a guy who's on an 0-16 team but he still somehow managed to lead the league in TD receptions (tied with Fitz actually for 1st) even with shuffling poor QB's in and out of the lineup the whole season, as well as a horrible O line.

If Megatron actually played on a team with a respectable QB and O-line it's scary to think about how dominant this guy could be.

i disagree...he is one of the most hyped players EVER. I promise he'll never have the career Fitz has already had, or someone like TO or torry holt will have. His peak is a Reggie Wayne at best...which isnt bad at all, but i think you are over rating him. he is just unimpressive.

besides, ur biased as anyone could be because ur from detroit, so its hard to take ur bias comments seriously man. on the other hand i lived in salem, mich for 4 yrs went to hightschool there so i follow the lions too. and still i have to disagree, he is too young in this league to compare him to ANY of the big time recievers.
