Christie will absolutely survive this. And I predict he will win the repub nomination regardless of how many of you on the right who say now that you won't vote for him. This will fade away because his response today to it is good. His prior handling was atrocious but he's definitely stepped up the plate and did it right today.

I LMAO at your hard right wingers who think a Ted Cruz like candidate can win a national election...I'm sure you all used to think Pat Buchanan was going places too...LOL..Christie is the best shot the GOP has of taking the Whitehouse in 2016. It's not even close. Based on his interview today I think he has a pretty good chance of doing it. If he's lying his ass off, he's damn good and will absolutely fool the majority of people. If he's not then he's acting like a real everyday American and THAT has huge appeal in a national election.

Today was a bad day for the next dem nominee...Interesting for sure...

Well, to Christie's credit, he called the woman a liar and fired her. He's going to FT Lee today to apologize to the Mayor and people face-to-face.

Which is volumes more than Obama or Hillary! would ever do regading Benghazi.

Of course if Christie drove of the GWB with a woman in the car and let her drown, the Democrats would make him Senator for life (and entertain the idea of him running for President).

So when christie staff screws up and he claims to have no knowledge...all good. When obama does it...he's an incompetant liar.

Very true. Christie is the only chance for the white house in 2016. The wingnuts here are not a good gage on the general public. Ted cruz. Lol.

Of course! LMAO.... That's the ENTIRE basis of politics....MY party is better than YOUR party...and MY candidate is better than YOUR candidate...etc...

Repeat after me everyone... THEY ALL FUCKING SUCK!!!

To me it is ALWAYS about picking the lesser of two evils...The sheeple are easily led to one party or another and we the everyday people continuously get screwed. The argument continues on everywhere, as it does here, but the basis of it comes down to one simple comparison.

Who's screwing you more...The Govt or the Big Business Money Boys?

IMO it's BOTH, of course, but more so Big Money because THEY control the panzie asses in Govt.

Moral of the story is whenever you can, tell them all to go fuck themselves (easy to say, a lot harder to actually do). I'm CONSTANTLY looking for another way to run my own business and get out from being an employee. Been there before and would like to go back. Can't stand big biz assholes nor the arrogant Govt power hungry bitches. For me I hate the Big Biz ones worse, but I understand the other side's hatred as well.

Big Government inevitably screws up, then has to lie to cover its neolithic incompetence.

And Big Business inevitably Fucks Everyone Over in the Name of Greed, and then lies and tells everyone it's for their own good.

And we can go on and on and on and on.... See my post above this...It never ends.

Except I didn't say it was "all good" at all.

The LSM just had an orgasm.

A few minutes before New Jersey Governor Chris Christie's highly-anticipated Thursday morning press conference, CNN's Ashleigh Banfield suggested that the closing of the George Washington Bridge for political purposes could result in felony murder charges against those behind the closing:

And then there can also be the very serious possibility that a death resulted from the actions from someone, right? So if that's the case an extraordinarily serious end of this could be [a chrge of] felony murder because it's a felony to do this kind of thing -- if it can be proven to shut down those lanes for no good reason -- and then if a death results, that's a murder.

Banfield was addressing the report that a 91-year-old woman's ambulance ride was delayed due to the lane closures. The report also says the woman did not die as a result of the delay.

Banfield is only the most extreme example of how giddy CNN and the rest of the media are over this scandal. This kind of hysterical overreach is now the norm when the media is hunting someone down to benefit their left-wing agenda. CNN's behavior during the George Zimmerman trial and the gun control debate was widely criticized and ridiculed.

This is not to say the Christie scandal is not real and valid. But the difference in how CNN and the rest of the media react to scandals involving a Republican star and the likes of a Barack Obama can be summed up in the words "felony murder."

No, there is a big difference.

If you believe a business or individual screwed you over, you don't have to do business with them again. Live and learn/buyer beware etc.

If you take that approach with the government, you go to jail.

Apparently you don't understand the definition of tyranny.

Here is an example of why this story is important:

Emergency responders were delayed in attending to four medical situations – including one in which a 91-year-old woman lay unconscious – due to traffic gridlock caused by unannounced closures of access lanes to the George Washington Bridge, according to the head of the borough’s EMS department.

Government GOOD!

Damn, this has turned out to be a pretty big deal. I mean I still don't think Christie had anything to do with it, but it does look bad.

And if you don't like the way your government is performing, you can vote in someone else. This is not a dictatorship..Well..not exactly...it is from the perspective that business buys the govt...and on and on we go.

They BOTH suck, sheriff. Anyone with common sense understands that. But you MUST have a govt. The "idea" of America, self governance through a govt of the people, for the people and by the people is STILL the best idea going. It's not really turned out that way now because govt has turned into a business that is bought and paid for by other businesses, especially on the fed level. Until you take the money out of elections that will never change.

I understand the definition of tyranny. We don't have tyranny here, Sherrif. We have Corporatocracy.

Looks are deceiving. He's gonna come out smelling like roses UNLESS someone has PHYSICAL evidence that he knew about it. If THAT comes out he's toast on every possible political level. But I don't see it happening. He's gonna turn it into a positive. I can see him doing it in a primary debate now...If I remember I'll come back to this thread and tell you I told you so! LOL

We'll see Joe. A few months ago he fired someone in the education dept because he said "he lied to me"...turned out that wasn't true. The gov knew all along. Hopefully for him, this is not the same thing. Guess will wait to hear from the people he fired.

This will hurt him but probably only minimally, he did a great job today at damage control.

He handled it as best he could today. But it's gonna hurt because he has both sides of the extreme media against him. It'll be up to the sane in the Republican Party to come out in his defense, because they are the ones who would be hurt the most by a Weakened Christie, the most(probably only) viable Presidential Candidate they have.

Apparently somebody died in a hospital since the emergency meat wagon couldn't get there quickly. Given Blubber's Boy anal, hands on sytle, anybody who believes his "don't shoot ME, I'm just the piano player" story is a cluless putz, and it's NOT going away anytime soon. Does the phrase, the buck stops here mean anything? And I predict the story will eventually come out about what he did with the billions of Sandy money, and it won't be pretty, either.

The Sandy money is a different subject. On this subject though, he's gonna get off the hook on it unless they prove on paper that he knew it. I doubt anyone sings that tune. Who the hell knows whether he did or not. I'd say no because retribution towards that mayor was a joke. The guy's a nobody. I think this was a bunch of blowhards flexing their wanna be muscles and they fucked up. Doesn't mean Christie isn't a douche or hasn't done a lot worse in his political career. I just don't think he was in the know on this one. I have no real opinion of him to be honest.

But hate him or love him, I recognize talent when I see it and today was one of the best damage control shows I've ever seen. He's got talent and personally I think he will beat the fuck out of anyone on the right in a debate. From what I've seen he's got Clinton (Bill) level skills in that dept. Just my opinion...Don't know shit about anything else about him.
