You think it will take 40 years to get out of this? Your crazy. Our debt is about to triple....TRIPLE (thats over the next decade, we are in debt $11 trillion now) if Prez BO gets that shit aka budget thru Congress. We don't have enough money RIGHT NOW to pay for all the shit that is coming down the pipe much less Govt run health care, college for everyone, etc. Wake up and smell the coffee we are in debt up to our eye balls and this guy wants to keep going. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!!!

Reagan tripled the national debt during his eight years and we responded just fine.

Meanwhile, "we" are not in debt by a trillion dollars.

"We" (I) are in debt by less than $10,000 thankfully. And since I don't tie my personal financial future to the plus or minus of the US federal budget, I'm confident I'll continue to prosper during the next 40 years as I do business both within and outside the current US borders.

Plus GBOY, you just reset your same contradictory complaint

First you complain that your future ability to save and to pay for your daughter's college fund is going to be hampered

Then you acknowledge that a key component of that perceived federal government expansion is to provide college funding for "everyone".

Looks to me like that particular concern should stimulate far less tension for you personally.

Barman let me spell it out, Prez BO says everyone goes to college for free. Opps we can't afford that he says to himself ....everyone goes to college for free EXCEPT those people making more than $XYZ. Sound familiar? Also, its your debt. Ever heard of taxes. Yep you and I are going to have our taxes raised to pay for Medicare-Medicaid, Social Security, 'free college', govt health care, etc. So you are in debt, its just you are going to pay for shit you didn't buy. Baby boomers are coming due, govt run health care is coming down the pipe....yep you may only owe $10,000 that you can actually see at the current time, but our asses are in debt up to our eye balls.

GBOY, if you're honestly concerned about possibly higher levels of federal taxation, there's a few very sensible responses.

1) Begin creating revenue via personal business ownership so that you have increased legal deductions. Better yet, make it a business that you operate out of your home so you have even more legal deductions

2) Begin creating revenue that can be successfully concealed from the IRS. Even just a couple hundred bucks a month in some kind of personal service paid "off the books" can offset a major increase in taxes on your reported revenue

===
Or do neither of the above while waiting for Washington DC to start doing business in a manner with which you more personally approve.

Me? I'm not holding my breath on the latter, thus my encouragement to participate in one or both of the former listed strategies.

GBOY, just sent you a PM
