From my experience with this topic amongst friiends and others, most of my friends agree that a person is either born gay or not. I do have a few friends that share the same views as you, but honestly those friends just arent that bright. No offense to you. Honest

I fully acknowledge that the "trend is not my friend" on this issue... society seems to be moving towards embracing gay marriage, and trying to
"normalize" the lifestyle. My position is that this is a deleterious mistake that will have dire consequences - especially towards our children and
the generations to come.

The road was set back 30 to 40 years ago, & its only gonna get worse.

The future children are being thrown into a society where homosexuality is an okay thing.

(I for one wasn't brought up to think it was okay, but won't put someone down for being so)

As far as religion & homosexuality goes, the 2 don't mix......& homosexuals try to bend & change God's writing & laws to fit their lifestyles.

I have asked & talked about this topic with many priests, etc.....I find it a very touchy subject because I can't figure out if homosexuals are born this way or do some just decide they like the same sex as they get older.

Aa technology gets better, internet expands & reaches out to everyone, etc.....so does society, & they also stretch the boundaries of how far they will be allowed to go.......legalized homosexuality.......legalized drugs.......& legalized prostitution....& legalized gambling......everywhere.

Are all of these vices? Or a lifestyle?

Who sets the "normal boundaries" of human society? We do as people, & where do we make our laws from?

Have you ever thought that the 10 Commandments were written as laws for us as a society to follow to help us live with one another in a stable society with consequences if we don'.....& these same Commandments were taken into our society & put into our law books.

No one gets arrested for adultry bow a days.....but in other countries you can get in trouble.

As we go into the 21st century & into a supposed final frontier of civilization......the human society will change the laws they live by because if how supposedly old those laws were that we are still holding onto.

I'm assuming homosexuality is as old as the oldest profession, prostitution.....

As for religion & homosexuality, you can't change someone's mind about homosexuality & how wring it is if they don't believe in the bible & what's written in it.

I don't want like to think that anyone that's a homosexual can't get into heaven as long as they continue to live in that lifestyle, because everyone deserves to be loved.......but then again, I'm not God.

If there is a GOD which i believe there is (something anyway), he is a loving GOD. If GOD is all knowing and we are all created in his image then why would he judge and crucify his own children who he knew would not ever believe in Jesus? Did GOD not know that the Muslims would never convert to Christianity? So he created the muslims knowing they would never change their religious beliefs and he would just damn them to hell? lol um ok

Accoding to Christians (I was raised Baptist) if you dont accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior you will not enter the kingdom of GOD. So all the homos, Muslims, Jews, Catholics, Buddhist etc. are all going to hell? lmao Sounds like an awesome GOD. Very loving and forgiving. :think2:

Everyone should adhere to those things.

Life is way to short to care about who loves who. Before you know it .... poof , life is over!

The issue is not quite as simple as your simple mind would like to make it.

I must really have a gift of getting under your skin. 4 pages of people disagreeing with zit and all saying essentially the same things and through all that you search for my post to call me an idiot. Funny stuff that I bother you that badly with no effort on my part at all.

I dont look down on gays even though i think its gross. I dont understand people who look down on others. We are all human and on this earth together. Seems like it would be a better world if we all quit judging and pointing fingers and learn to be compassionate for one another.

Nah I have been reading through the whole thread. Don't flatter yourself, I don't follow you around looking to troll your posts.

It does seem that when I do come across your posts, a large percentage of the time I find them so idiotic I am inclined to comment. I don't think that's me though.

I didn't "search" for your post. It just jumped out at me as being so retarded I had to say something.

Equating being opposed to gay marriage to being pro-slavery (something everyone agrees is bad) shows a pretty short-sighted view on the issue's complexity.

My point is that in 100 years we will view people who were pro slavery the exact same way as we view people who discriminate against homosexuals

Maybe your mind is too simple to infer that from my post

I don't know if any of you guys do any traveling or have done. If not, I hope you get a chance to one day soon. I don't mean resorts or Vegas. I mean away from the tourist spots and in countries far away. Taking chicken buses and figuring shit out as you go. If you do or if you have, I am certain you realized how much you don't really care about shit like who marries who.

No my mind is not too simple to understand that. I fully comprehend the point you were trying to make.

I don't know that I believe that people who wish to protect the sanctity of a religious sacrament are acting in a discriminatory fashion. I can see their point.

My personal viewpoint is I don't really give a fuck who marries whom. But I don't begrudge someone the opposing viewpoint on this particular issue, or imply they are a bigot for having it.

I read somewhere once that 50% of people in the U.S. have never left their own state.

You don't begrudge someone for having an opposing viewpoint?

Then why did you call me a simple minded idiot for my viewpoint.

A little hypocritical.
