I just returned from Maui. I was part of a gaming seminar (I lectured on money management), and part of the seminar had to do with the importance of injuries. Here are two perfect examples of what was discussed. Arkansas loses starting RB Williams, who led the Hogs last season, but they did not lose their potent offensive line, so all the Hogs have to do is basically plug in another runner. They may not get the same results as last season with Williams, but the potential loss will be small. Now Washington loses starting Left Guard Charles. Being the only full time returning starter UDub had, this is a big blow to the offense. But before we all go writing UDub off, remember that Charles did not play at all during the Spring or Summer, so the Huskies have had plenty of time to find a replacement.
The difference between the Hogs and Huskies is obvious. Arkansas needs to find someone to put points on the board. UDub needs to find someone to open the door for their RB's and running QB. Who got hurt the most? Washington.
