Indianapolis 500 Information - Will Open Different Thread for Plays

The 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500, the Greatest Spectacle in Racing, is on Memorial Day Weekend, Sunday, May 26. It is set to begin at approximately 12:45 PM. "Drivers Start Your Engines" is scheduled for 12:38. It will be aired live on NBC for the first time. The event had been covered by ABC for 54 years. To date myself, it was only aired live for many of my early years on AM radio waves, and I never missed it after the age of 8. From 1971-1985 it was tape delayed on ABC, much like the NBA Finals used to be. It was not shown live until 1986. This probably seems crazy to anyone below the age of 30.

Per usual there will be 33 drivers racing 200-laps around the four-turn, 2.5-mile Oval. Qualifying is complete and listed below. The Field is comprised of 11 Rows of 3 Drivers each.

Well, if you stuck to the trends, which I strongly considered, you had a decent payoff with The Indianapolis 500. If you added it all up, there was one choice. Kicking my self for not placing one silly Unit on the correct and logical statistical play...

- Roger Penske owned cars have won 17 times, 2 of the last 4, including the 2018 victory = Pagenaud (make it 18 times and 3 of the last 5)

- Dallara Chassis have won 18 times, including the last 14 = Pagenaud (make it 19 times and the last 15 straight)

- Chevrolet Engines have won 10 times, 3 of the last 6, including the 2018 victory = Pagenaud (make it 11 times and 4 of the last 7)

Roger Penske is a racing Legend. The Captain does not seem to have aged at all in the last decade. I think the winning in multiple Racing Series keeps him young or he may use Tom Brady's doctor. Back-to-Back Indy Wins for Penske in 2018/2019. Last time he did that was 2001/2002. It is a tough race to win, simply ask any driver.

Simon Pagenaud was 7:1 at the drop of the Green Flag.

Indy, unfortunately how life has gone I have too much time with my wife gone and trying to recover from another surgery that made things worse. Life was not supposed to be like this.

You are a breath of fresh air Indy. Stay Positive, Stay Strong, Live Large. It is so True that One never know what the next day brings or how long you have.
