Believe it or not, Ind St might still be playing had I not attended the game and sat in the 2nd row. My brother had a bet on UNI -4 2nd half, so we were pulling hard for them. We loved this Ind St team, and they were a covering machine the last 10 games. But since he took UNI 2h, we had to root it home. It looked like ISU was going to win straight up. Koch hadn't done shit all game, and hadn't gone to the hole once. After the under 8 timeout, he was standing right in front of me to inbounds the ball. I yelled at him to get himself to the free throw line, and then repeated it. And the light switch went off in his head. It was like duh.........I guess I should take it to the hole. 5 seconds later, he was backing a guy down and getting a layup. Then he did it again the next 2 out of 3 trips and got a layup and a 3 point play. He took over the game, and UNI got the win and 2h push.
Sorry homedawg. I gave them no shot, but with a little luck, they could have made it to the championship game. Good pick.
Fans actually can have an effect on the outcome of games, when the coaches are too fucking stupid to put their kids in a position to win. Sometimes as a fan or bettor, you have to take things into your own hands. Just don't yell "cover this minus 4 bet!"
