Using Rolltides title. Looking at the stats of officers feloniously killed this past decade, when you subtract the hispanic/latino murders you have 226 whites feloniously killing officers and 199 Blacks. So whites kill officers about 13% more than Blacks, yet year after year twice as many whites are killed by police than blacks! It's a myth that blacks are disproportionately killed more often than whites. The media just looks at total population and total deaths to arrive at their false narrative! You have to look at crime and deadly force encountered by police. Similar to the myth of women making less money than men, where stats Canada gathers their numbers by looking at full time work and pay rate. They fail to factor in the men on average work 4 more hours per week, make up 91% of all work place deaths (danger pay, mining, policing, construction pay well up here) and the majority of Stem university graduates are men! Also for the narrative to be true of cops being racist, they must also be sexist too, considering white men are arrested and killed much more frequently than black women.

This was a tragic and senseless murder by a man charged with murder, that's all society can do.

can we define deprivation as living in poverty or do you prefer some nondescript, undefinable "deprivation"? if you're talking living in poverty then you should know there are 2.5x the number of white poor than black poor so that wouldn't account for the massive per capita difference in crime.

if you're saying deprivation of two-parent households for the vast majority of a black man's life then we're on board but we both know that's not where you were heading...

In the context of this conversation I was referring to households at or below the federal poverty line. In that regards violent crime rates are actually higher for whites than blacks. To say there are 2.5x more poor whites than blacks is rather kinda disingenuous. Say there are apprx 46mm black people in the US. Over 230mm identify themselves as white.
