In search of the elusive (ML Underdog) system, that hits 50% winners

Just thought id post it in here.. Not looking for responses, just a place to keep a running record of underdogs.. I actually started playing this system on Wed May 31st..

May 31:

1. Cinn (+1.53) Win (+1.53 units)
2. Det (+1.24) Loss (-1.00 units)
3. Pitt (+1.26) Win (+1.26 units)

2-1 (+1.79 units)

Plays for thurs: June 1st

4. Pitt (+1.00) winner (+1.00 units)
5. NYY (+1.22) pending
6. Clev (+1.32) pending

these plays were posted in the MLB folder here.. all risking one unit..

It seems that i have put countless hours in research this MLB season, trying to come up with a 100% mathematical formula for picking underdogs that will hit 50%.. If this could be accomplished, one could simply collect all the PLUS JUICE... This particular system has shown really good results, when back tested for last year.. Im just going to see how it goes in here over the next few days...

I don't quite understand your system. Are you just betting all the ML dog lines, or you have a system to pick lines you just post?

I am using a 100% mechanical system to pick the dogs.. Im, in no way, playing all the dogs across the board... This thread was simply just a place to keep these plays recorded.. If it proves successful, ill talk about it..

thx fellas.... ill post the plays for a while and if it makes money, ill talk about it.. no need to go into details on something that may not work.. im constantly working on things, back testing different data and constantly looking at systems...

ML dogs have always intrigued me, the most.. simple concept and thinking, to just win 1/2 the plays and collect the plus juice..

ML Dog System: 4-2 (+3.11 units)

Plays for friday: June 2nd

7. SD (+1.17) Pinnacle
8. Det (+1.26) Pinnacle
9. TB (+1.40) SIA
10. Oak (+1.90) SIA
11. Hou (+1.02) Balt

Hey SSI...

i recall i while back, you expressed some interest in finding purely mechanical systems for playing MLB moneyline dogs... i've been playing something this year (since april 6th) that plays home dogs (a few times it has produced a small home favourite) but YTD, the dog angle has produced a record of 33-15 (+21.79 units), hitting at a 68% clip (suffered 2 losses last night - KC and LAD).
I've also been toying with the Alternate Runlines for the home dogs and it has produced some surprising results.

sweet stuff...I also have a mechanical system that picks dogs, but for NFL. Works great!

I would think that winning even less than 50% of your picks would still give you a good profit depending upong the + juice you were getting. I would hope that if you would do less that you don't give up simply based upon the 50% number.
