Leafs Fans--Is Wendell Clark worthy of having his number retired? He wasn't as good as Darryl Sittler, Bjore Salming or Leafs from pre-70's. Publicity stunt? Follow hockey closely, but just don't understand this, please explain.

It's like the White Sox retiring Harold Baines number, somewhat desperate. I would say it is the same as the Isles retiring Bobby Nystrom's number, but at least he won 4 Stanley Cups (not to mention the game winner for Cup #1).

Yes, very well deserving words can't even describe what he meant to this team for the time he was with them. Heart and soul of the team, scoring big goals, fighting the tough guys, standing up for teammates, and being the captain and leader. One of the best Leafs of all times.

Fair enough, Wendel Clark deserved the honoring according to my fellow Rxers that joined in.
