Does Brian Kolb have as much clout as Al Sharpton?

Will David Letterman face the same retribution as Don Imus?

Is a 14 year old girl and the Rutgers female basketball team in the same ballpark?

All of these and many more questions will be answered in the next episode of SOAP!

Fox News

New York State Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb, a Republican, is calling on the CEO of CBS to fire David Letterman for crude comments he made about Sarah Palin and her daughter.

In the letter to CBS chief Les Moonves, Kolb said he took Letterman to task for the "shockingly inappropriate" jokes.

“As the proud father of a daughter, and as a husband, I wanted Mr. Moonves to hear from me directly about Mr. Letterman’s disparaging remarks," Kolb said in a written statement.

“Firing Mr. Letterman would send a clear message that CBS will not tolerate any of its employees — even an established media figure like Mr. Letterman — making demeaning and degrading comments about women.”

Stay tuned….

On his TV show, early in the Clinton administration, Limbaugh put up a picture of Socks, the White House cat, and asked, "Did you know there's a White House dog?" Then he put up a picture of Chelsea Clinton, who was 13 years old at the time ....

John McCain joked that the reason Chelsea was so ugly was because Janet Reno was her father....
this needs a bump up........the right assumes(incorrectly as always) that they take the high road all the time.....ya ok

Humour in the US is officially dead. FBI needs to start a bad joke division with the power to prosecute all offenders.

Is Conan having fun with this yet?

I don't think DL should be fired for being a smarmy asswipe.

bad taste jokes mocking teenage girls is not humor, and is only accepted by the enablers when a right leaning family is involved.

then it's humor

David Letterman initiated a vile and hate mongering attack against a political family he dislikes, humor is a weak cover up.

Did anyone find it funny? did anyone laugh?

I thought Tina was funny, and I looked forward to those SNL skits. Palin even participated in one.

On stage, SNL joked about both parties, I appreciate that.

Off stage, I didn't appreciate the disrespect shown Palin in the entertainers interviews. But entertainers are liberal, so their political preferences don't surprise me. Nor do I think they really influence anybody.

He is the Bill Maher of network television.
Nobody, but nobody is a bigger fan of Letterman's wit and humor, but the past decade of killing Bush and his potshots at any repbulican or republican issue has made him worse than Maher.

I am neither a registered Democrat or Republican so I offer this from an objective point of view.

If you heard those jokes from Letterman you'd come to the same conclusion as most that they were inappropriate and not funny. What he should've done is just apologize and move on but he didn't do that which made it worse.

I think what happened was his writers screwed up and confused Willow for Bristol and they made an error which he should've owned up to.

I heard a stat the other day that said during the elections this year an independant agency tallied up the jokes by Leno, Conan and Letterman and Letterman bashed the Republican party 3x as much in his show then the other two. Those are facts that can't be disputed.

Any professional comedian with self-respect should never, ever apologize for any of their material.

And that opinion is based on what? Are you a comedian?

The guy needs ratings to stay on TV. After 911 if would've made a very innapropriate comment you bet he'd need to apologize.

Letterman certainly doesn't need to apologize to me or to others who found the joke a fairly funny quip.

Always fascinating to watch the target of a joke like that get all huffy as if they are somehow above being teased.

Even more interesting when people with no connection to the gored teenager get all huffy at a professional comedian ripping a good line.

Here's a clue...It's too late.

The line got uttered and now poor little ol' Willow will somehow have to navigate her way through the rest of her life.
