at least people like you and Letterman help to prove where the real hatred lies in the country

your words speak for themselves :103631605

Sorry if I touched a nerve with you - maybe this hit a little to close to home?

On his TV show, early in the Clinton administration, Limbaugh put up a picture of Socks, the White House cat, and asked, "Did you know there's a White House dog?" Then he put up a picture of Chelsea Clinton, who was 13 years old at the time ....

John McCain joked that the reason Chelsea was so ugly was because Janet Reno was her father....

First it Carrie Prejean, now it’s Sarah Palin. What exactly do you have against good looking women?

Dave, I love 'em all.

They just need to stop yappin' and make me a sandwich.

All I'm hoping is that Sarah herself has wised up and either closed her own legs or gotten a tubal ligation.

Enough already with the multiple kids. The last one coming in defective should be a loud shout that you need to get out of the baby makin' business.
I was right. You are punter.

heh...

PUNTER and I have a few things in common, 'tis true.

He lives in the city where I last lived before moving to Florida in 1997.

And I think we share the trait of having a long-suffering Spousal Unit.

I'm pretty sure he drinks a lot more than I do now, though maybe not as much as I did prior to 1993.

But other than that....

He packs heat at home and I've never owned a firearm.

Oh, and he's OLD, man.

I'm still spry at age 49

I believe Rush would have said that. When I heard ugly jokes about Chelsea, I thought they were in very bad taste.

The McCain joke is a little hard for me to believe, although I guess it's possible. He seems to try and have more class.

The Reno line is great, although I once again wouldn't choose to use a kid in it. That dude is scary.

Sorry Steak, the point being that there would be outrage all over the MSM if a democrat was attacked in such a fashion is sad but true.

Just look at the cop shooting the chimp cartoon, something that really happened, and the disrespectful racism shit that hit the ceiling. Then compare that to people actually calling W a monkey.

Letterman saying Palin dresses like a slut and her daughter was knocked up by ARod during the 7th inning stretch was not funny and in bad taste.

serious answer -

1) the books we read
2) the people with who we most often associate

And that noted, I'd bet that you and I think far more alike than we do differently.

Im younger than McCain. You want to vote for me?

sorry my friend, we'd have to have something in common, politically speaking, besides theRx.

Having said that, I'd vote for you over Obama, Reid, Teddy, Franken, Barney & the witch bitch.

Hey, I could be your executive pay and tax czar.

Crippled by his political siege, Mr Brown had no chance of matching Mr Obama's oratorical flight. The Prime Minister called Omaha beach, "Obama beach".

Poor PM Brown, when it rains, it pours.

Anyone remember when MSNBC suspended Shuster during the democratic primaries for saying the Clintons were "pimping" Chelsea? She was well in her 20s when this happened. There was all sort of liberal Clinton backers calling for his job and they were pressured into disciplining him. I realize Lettermen is on a different level of entertainer than Shuster but liberals are not known for tolerance when someone makes a similar stupid statement. (see Imus)
