There's generally one or two missed goaltending calls per game. The tech foul on NW's coach was a separate incident. The bad call cost NW 2 points. The NW Coach running onto the court to yell at the referee cost two more, and was a just plain bad coaching. A few minutes earlier, the GU guard stole the ball from Nwestern and was breaking away. The ball hit the ref who was not paying a lot of attention, one foot out of bounds, one foot in. Ball declared out of bounds off of GU. Probably cost GU two points. If Mark Few had approached the ref on the court during game action, like the NW coach did, he would have gotten a tech foul also. But he didn't, so no one talks about that play.
I'm going to suggest Berry would be shooting 3 free throws on that play, grazing the hand after the shot
That's exactly what happened earlier in the game
They were horribly inconsistent all game, and they were game changers, and both teams benefited / suffered
But taking Collins out of the game (he only played 14 minutes) was the single biggest wrong they committed. Have you see a video of his 4th foul? A replay they never showed us last night? As bad a call as the missed out of bounds call, and that missed out of bounds call just can't happen, you can't be that bad at your job.
