Update from the local news.

Storm is apparently 900 miles wide. Katrina was 450 miles wide.

Slidell, by I-12 and I-59 can expect 20 feet of water.

Levees in New Orleans are not expected to hold.

Baton Rouge, is now expected to get the eye of the storm. 115 mph winds are now expected.

We're staying put (just outside of Baton Rouge) and I'll make sure my dogs are completely taken care of as well as my family.

Have a generator, batteries, water, canned items, charcoal, lighter, flashlights, candles, radio and gun.
