Someone has to try to explain this. Why does the government refuse to "license" casinos and call them bad, yet they let them flourish in just about every corner of San Jose, not to mention allow the country to be the center of offshore betting? It just seems weird and don't tell me its because of tourist dollars. If that were the case why the hell do they play that Tico blackjack instead of the game played everywhere else in the world, I mean who came up with those rules???

I have been going to CR twice a year for the last 4 years. El Pueblo is the place to go partying at. Every night there are people there. Nicest casinos are Colonial, Raddison, and Corobici. Idem is a lot cheaper than Del Rey as far as the ladies go and you can find a couple of ladies at Idem that are good quality. Good Luck!

What's the name of the hotel that had a poker room up on the 2nd or 3rd floor? Had a pool, gym etc... and all that out back.

I can not remember the name of it. Casino on the first floor with Japanesse steak house down there too I think. Everyone went there to play cards the whole week I was there.

Corobici Hotel.

There is also a Jap rest with Teppan also on the 2nd floor, near the poker room.
