He just doesn't get it. Like he shows up at the postgame press conference wearing a Vanderbilt ball cap. Not that big of a deal but why not wear a Bears cap when you are the QB? As a Packer fan, I look forward to seeing him in Chicago for two more years.

Cutler has a great arm. He's not mobile. The offensive line is shit right now. Chicago front office didn't tend to it enough. Big money for skill position players will kill a franchise. If you give Cutler time to throw he's a top 8 QB. Dude is not used to getting rushed and having to make quick judgements.

If you give any QB time to throw he'll do just fine. The problem with Cutler is his poor decision making. After all these years, it's still nothing to do with him but it's everyone around him?

I think they should keep him in for week 16, let him throw about 50 times then look towards the future. BTW, he's one of my QB's in my fantasy championship next weekend

Does the owner or GM have the balls to sit a player making that kind of money? I doubt he'll change, he is what he is.
That answers that.

I know this is going to sound strange, but why start Cutler, you have to rebuild next year again....If it is with Cutler it will be a whole new offensive system so why get him hurt possibly, and if it is with out Jay, you sure cannot trade him for much if he is even slightly damaged goods...A wise business decision here by the bears!

Bears have had a bad season and have gotten no help from 90% of their players and no help from the coaches....Jets and Bears need to clean house....Cutler should go home to Tenn.....

Demoted QB Jay Cutler says he wants to stay in Chicago

Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, who's been benched for Jimmy Clausen, told reporters he hopes to continue his career in Chicago. "I would like to stay here. I really like it here," Cutler said. "I love the guys in the locker room. This is where I'd like to be."

Cutler signed a seven-year, $126 million contract in January and admitted the deal came with big expectations. "I wish we would have played better, I wish I would have played better," he said. "Then we wouldn't be in this sitaution."

Cutler said he was shocked and disappointed by the benching but called head coach Marc Trestman a "heck of a quarterbacks coach." Asked if he could play for Trestman in 2015, Cutler said, "Yes. ... I think I could. I definitely could."

Cutler has accounted for 30 touchdowns and a league-high 24 turnovers for the 5-9 Bears. His contract guarantees him $15.5 million next season.

He was very humble in his presser. As a Bears fan I hope Cutler stays around, personally I like him. Too many turnovers but we knew what we were getting with Cutler in that regard. He was having a career-best statistical season aside from the turnovers (passer rating, comp %, TD)...so I'm not sure why people are up in arms like we didn't get what we should have expected out of Jay Cutler. He is who we thought he was.

As a fan I'm far more concerned with the defense. While I believe the offense is a few tweaks away from being good again (o-line, playcalling, and interceptions need to be addressed)...the defense seems light years away.

This sums up my thoughts exactly.
