I have seen this type of a scenario develop many times in the NFL over the years...
A team WITH A BAD DEFENSE disguises it by having its quarterback play flawless for 2 straight games against opponents that don't have strong defenses themselves...
JOE Q PUBLIC gets "fooled" into believing that this potent offensive team cannot possibly lose...
For a forum that I consider to be filled with lots of wise guys and sharps, I am shocked that nobody has come on here to present the flip side of this equation...
NEW ENGLAND has WON 13 games in a row, and they have the toughest DEFENSE that the COLTS will have faced in the past few weeks...
Plus, the frigid weather in NEW ENGLAND will not hurt the Patriot's chances of WINNING this game....
Unlike KC, I expect the Pats to frustrate the Colts's Offense just enough so that Indianapolis will finally have to punt throughout this game.
And when they do, I am not so sure that the Colts will have the ability to stop the Pats from scoring, scoring and scoring, just as the Chiefs did.
Remember, the Kansas City Chiefs didn't have to punt the ball at all either against the Colts but this IMPORTANT fact has been hidden and overlooked by many people due to the fact that Mannning was simply amazing...
In a game that will hallmark the NFL'S BEST team, which I consider to also be the most underrated, facing an offensive jugernaut, I am clearly taking NEW ENGLAND because in my opinion, they have the better all around team, and most certainly, the better DEFENSE, period!
P.S. Remember what happened in last year's SUPER BOWL when a hot offensive team which hadn't been stopped, came into San Diego to face a team with a solid DEFENSE?
