Totally agree but he is as special athlete. Not many QB's can shred an Alabama defense on the road.

Yea, he was amazing that game. He's an incredible quarterback. But he didn't do it because he was a superior athlete than those that were on the field. He did it because they couldn't stop the pass, they spread everyone out, giving him creases everywhere if he breaks through the line, which he's great at... and they just couldn't stop him and their receivers.

I have nothing against him as a QB, just not understanding this superior athletic ability that he somehow possesses when he has no physical attributes different than someone like Russell Wilson. He'll struggle in the NFL this season being on the Browns that do not have the ability to spread the field like A&M. Can't wait to watch the Redskins beat his ass next Monday. I just hope he gets to play against the first teamers.

He can jump higher, he's quicker, better hand-eye coordination, probably better vision and hell, he may even be able to run faster. I don't know about that.

I can't argue that, Russell Westbrook is one of the best athletes in the NBA.

I like the kid, I like his spirit and wish him well. I won't say his style is a problem until it's obvious his style is a problem.

Moxie is a good thing for a QB

As for his skin color, totally irrelevant to me, that seems to cut both ways in the real world.

How damn predictable, somebody mentions race in a thread and guess who has by far the most posts in such thread? The self anointed economic, monetary, legal expert who uses race and racism in lieu of intellect.

How many people is he calling racist this time?

Haven't called anyone a racist because no one said any racist comments. However, you have said many... that's why I call you a racist.

What makes his athleticism superior? Jadaveon Clowney is a superior athlete. 6'5, 266, and runs a faster 40 than manziel! That's superior athleticism.

His talent is superior I can say that without fear of any responsible contradiction. Manziel is a swivel-hipped darter that can avoid
opponents Griffin & Kap may be faster in a straight line but can't really avoid tacklers when taking off. A swivel-hipped darter that can throw accurately. That a new animal in the NFL.

Oh wow, this isn't the Wild West. And Kap and Rg3 can avoid NFL tacklers better than Manziel. He's no longer playing the spread. He'll have problems in the NFL if he's not in the right offense. And Cleveland definitely isn't the right offense.

Kap & RG3 can avoid NFL tacklers better than Manziel, you can't be serious.
If you said Barry Sanders I could accept that. Manziel will be the most elusive QB to play in the NFL for a long, long time.

Lmao, well can't wait to see this magic. I'll be sure to remind you of this when he gets crushed this year in Cleveland. Won't even come close to RG3 rookie numbers. Now that's a superior athlete.

It's not even close. Manziel's official 40 time at the combine was 4.68. Vick was 4.33 and he was clocked in one attempt at 4.25. Vick is the most athletic quarterback in the history of the NFL. Not even close. RG3 is far more athletic than Manziel too. I have no clue what you guys are watching. Manziel is basically Russell Wilson. Same size, same speed and no one claims Russell Wilson is as athletic as Michael Vick. That's not even logical.

Vick is the 2nd most athletic qb in nfl history. Jamarcus Russell was number 1. He was off the charts as far as athletisism goes

Vick was so talented athletically that people were talking about him after a game he lost (the National Title Game) against Florida State......JaMarcus Russell threw the ball far from his knees which really doesn't help in the NFL considering you are down...

I give Johnny "Cash" Football 1.5 years. Then it's RG3 time in the hospital watching football on TV.

Was reported that Manziel had a bruised rib from his first pre-season game. Just a small taste of how he will end up is he is not careful.

The Browns probably won't do it, but I think Manziel would be much better off in the long run if they sit him out the first season. Right now he doesn't do a very good job of reading beyond the first option before wanting to run. That will eventually get you killed in the NFL. Kaepernick was guilty of this when he first came into the league. But he's getting better at it in his 4th year.

He'll struggle without the spread offense he had at A&M. They have to turn him in to a Russell Wilson type qb to succeed. Great run game, lot of play action, movement, etc. He'll never survive if he plays like the way he did the first preseason game.

Agree.

And I would add.... if he does not succeed right away (unlikely) he will probably get frustrated and do something extremely ignorant off the field.
