He literally has no idea about anything its amusing. The typical follower

"Literally" no idea about anything? Lol. Just because I disagreed with the premise of your post and still think it's ridiculous? Maybe I need glasses, but Johnny Manziel definitely has never looked like a "superior athlete" out there on the field. He has incredible escaping skills, accuracy, throwing on the run, etc. Which is more important for a qb than pure athleticism. But he just looks like Russell Wilson out there to me and no one ever calls Russell Wilson a superior athlete. And Wilson even ran a faster 40 than Manziel.

The premise of the post is that manziel wouldent be compared to doug flutie if he was black.

He's not athletic enough to be compared to Vick. Not a polished enough pocket passer to be compared to Brees. Pretty much Flutie and Russell Wilson it is. How many short, black, qbs do you think there are? There is nothing superior about Manziel's athleticism. He's a quick, small qb. Exactly like Russell Wilson. There's just no supporting evidence backing your claim. He'd be thought of as the same by scouts if he were black.

Your argument is purely subjective. You are talking about skills not athleticism. Clowney doesn't play baseball so he probably can't throw a ball over 90mph accurate or hit a baseball a mile. On a purely athletic basis, being 6'5, 266, running a 4.53 40 is an athletic freak of nature. Mike Trout is definitely athletic, but size and strength matter in athleticism also. Trout might be a faster than Clowney, but that's about it.

Yes my argument about athleticism is subjective as is yours. Quit acting like you're the Almighty and your opinion of athleticism is the only one that's right. I can guarantee you there a lot of people who would agree with me that Trout is a better athlete than Clowney.

My argument is not subjective at all. I'm using actual combine numbers. Not bringing up how far they can hit golfballs. Johnny Manziels objective numbers do not resemble a superior athlete. A good athlete but nothing superior. Nothing subjective about my argument.

Likewise. Can't wait to see this superior athlete, lol. Watch out Clowney, watch out Usain Bolt, here comes 5'11, 206 lb, 4.56 Johnny Football!! Reminds me of the Tebow lovers.

Personally not a fan of Manziel. No idea whether he makes an impact or not but he is a great athlete or he wouldn't be where he's at. There's no guarantees on any first rounders in NFL even Clowney.

He's a good athlete, a great/superior quarterback. Just like Russell Wilson. Someone who can make stuff happen and is athletic enough to make things happen that other qbs can't. But in terms of being some superior athlete that is being brought down by the man because he's not black, is ludicrous. He's not that athletic for NFL standards. He's a little dude that is going to take a beating if he tries to run around and do crazy things he did in college. He needs a system and smart coaching just like Wilson. Wilson is incredibly smart, and that's what Manziel has to learn. Can't go head first when you are in the NFL or take shots that you don't need to. Just gotta be smart. He's definitely fun to watch.

I think any man that plays a a skill position in the NFL should be considered a superior athlete.

he isnt as athletic as vick? based on the fact he runs a straight line 40 yard dash a tenth of a second slower than him? or because hes white?

Vick is over 2.5 tenths of a second faster than Manziel at the 40. That's light years in football. Comparing Manziel athletically to Vick, I've heard it all now, lmao!!!

AK, I see what your argument here is but Manziel's athleticism isn't that far off from Vick (in his prime). It's not as far off as you think at least.

It's not even close. Manziel's official 40 time at the combine was 4.68. Vick was 4.33 and he was clocked in one attempt at 4.25. Vick is the most athletic quarterback in the history of the NFL. Not even close. RG3 is far more athletic than Manziel too. I have no clue what you guys are watching. Manziel is basically Russell Wilson. Same size, same speed and no one claims Russell Wilson is as athletic as Michael Vick. That's not even logical.

Being faster than someone doesnt make you the better athlete tho. It never will.

I think you have a different definition of "athlete" than the rest of us, including the dictionary. There's not a single person that would say Peyton Manning is more athletic than Vick, but there's also not a single person that would say Vick is a better quarterback than Manning. Trying to say Manziel is athletic as Vick is one of the crazier statements I've heard on this site.
