I think at this point, Drew Brees and R. Wilson have pretty much dispelled the myth shorter QBs can't win. Manziel is what 6'1 200 pounds? The average QB is what 6'3 220-230? He's not that small really.

That's what they listed him in college which isn't official. His official combine stats were 5'11 3/4... 206 lbs. That's small for a qb in the NFL. He was still a 1st round pick and is still good, so not sure what the discussion is... just saying that if he were black I don't see any difference in people questioning his size. He's fast but doesn't have sprinter speed and he hasn't proven at all that he can be a pocket passer like Brees. He's fun to watch though.

In my definition of athletic he is pretty superior. If combine numbers were the sole criteria for being an athlete we would have an NFL full of track stars who could run and jump.

And Manziel can throw a football better, can juke away from tacklers better, can probably kick ball further, is probably a better golfer, is probably a better shooter on the basketball court, etc. I get sick and tired of people saying someone is athletic just because they are big and fast.

That's what athleticism is. Fat people can hit golf balls and shoot 3 pointers better than Clowney. Doesn't mean they are more athletic than him. That's ridiculous. You're better off saying he has superior quarterbacking skills or hand eye coordination, not that he is a superior athlete.

Your argument is purely subjective. You are talking about skills not athleticism. Clowney doesn't play baseball so he probably can't throw a ball over 90mph accurate or hit a baseball a mile. On a purely athletic basis, being 6'5, 266, running a 4.53 40 is an athletic freak of nature. Mike Trout is definitely athletic, but size and strength matter in athleticism also. Trout might be a faster than Clowney, but that's about it.
