Alice Rodriguez doesn't stand a prayer of breaking the HR record.

Alex Rodriguez set a major league record with his 24th career grand slam, passing Lou Gehrig with a tiebreaking shot in the seventh inning that sent the New York Yankees to a 5-1 victory over the San Francisco Giants on Friday night.

Congrats Alex

NEW YORK — With a base hit to center in the bottom of the seventh inning Friday night against the Texas Rangers, Yankees' slugger Alex Rodriguez notched RBI number 1,992 in his career, tying him with Babe Ruth for fourth all-time in baseball history.

RBI became an official stat in 1920, and the count is by Elias Sports Bureau, the official stat keepers of Major League Baseball. According to Baseball Reference, Babe Ruth had 224 RBI prior to 1920, from 1914-1919. With his next RBI, Rodriguez will tie Lou Gehrig for third place all-time.

No he doesn't deserve HOF induction but on the other hand it doesn't stop me from rooting for the guy to have a great rest of his career.

He's doin pretty good this year without using! Maybe a guy like Arod shouldn't have given in to the temptation to use.
I began to root for Arod for the very first time this year if he can reach 30 HR's this year clean he may get in the Hall,
afterall all the Yankee brass & major league execs are praising the way he's handled himself after coming back.

I think he should, unless you exclude an entire generation, but I don't think he will
