here is the problem, I am tied into a few winning Minnestoa teasers and I have a nice Minnestoa +3 -120 going also, compliments of the beautiful town of Primm. I dont really like either side but I do like the fact this game just hit 37 and I nailed the over with that.
Other game I have denver -2.5 -110 but have some winning 3 team parlay tickets with Oakland +3.5, so maybe a 3 point game will do me just fine.
I am due for a middle tonite.
You had a bad deviation on +ev plays and you're ready to give up on them? That doesn't sound right.
If they are truly +ev plays, then you have to be prepared for the swings that come with it. You shouldn't be quick to abandon a winning strategy - that's a common mistake A LOT of advantage players do.
hno:I absolutely NEVER said I was giving up on them. I was betting the same per teaser play as I was on a side so with that being said it ended up if I lost on a teaser team it was like losing 4 units on the game as all teasers died when one team loses. My point was to bet maybe 1/4 of a normal side bet on 1 of 4 teasers involving 1 team. I think i explained that good. I was wrking so hard to get down say Dallas at a good number and betting as much on 4 different SF teasers when I never liked them at all. Believe me I have been betting teasers like this for a long time I am not or will not ditch that method. I am the biggest supproter of this statemen when it comes to gambling "be expecting huge flucuations in your bankrool, if you cant handle it then betting isnt for you".
The +ev "wong" teasers have notoriusly won year in and year out no matter what the weeks of the season over the long haul. I agree I would think they would be a little better later in the year, very good point. I will keep that in ming going forward. I know a bunch of guys who got hit pretty hard from teasers yesterday. If Minnestoa teasers go down I would think (and I may be wrong) NFL week 1 goes to the books.
Certainly not as much as in the middle of the season(weeks 3-14).
Personally, and I've stated this many times, I do not play ALL these blindly.......although do play well over 80% of those presented to me via the pointspread and the proper odds.
Some, perhaps even Icaman and other well respected pros, may disagree with my feeling on this. Actually, I think it increases my advantage very, very, very slightly over the longhaul. Modestly speaking, I do not recommend doing this for the casual teaser player, as they would be better off just playing ALL that all presented to them.
THE KEY TO ALL OF THIS IS MONEY MANAGEMENT! I would recommend to all who are serious about this business to learn as much about standard deviation and Kellys Criterion as they can.
In theory, rather you play all of them, or just a portion of them..........ones ROI will be relatively the same in the grand scheme of things.........AS LONG AS THEY ARE PLAYING THE CORRECT TEASERS.
