I care more about what a soldier thinks about Politics, and how a guy came to his senses and finally voted his own pocketbook, more than what a ditz like Angelina Jolie thinks. But I'm a sane, rational person, who actually thinks about things, not a clueless partisan hack like you who is predictable EVERY single time, the definition of Pavlov's dog.

According to the man who wrote the article, he never had his own pocketbook... Thus, instead, he voted to take money out of others pocketbooks.

Had he thought about all of his actions and consequences of them, he never would have been in the boat he was in. Instead he puts the blame on one party, saying its their fault he dropped out of school and got someone pregnant when he couldn't afford a child. Then its that parties fault he got into massive debt with bad loans.

This sentence he wrote is the clincher - "I have relatives who are poor, and without government services, I might have to support them. "

That sentence just proves his true extreme liberalism... They need help, but it shouldnt be my money helping them, they should get it from someone else's pocket

He wasn't blaming the Republican Party for his bad decisions. He was blaming himself for being stupid enough to vote Republican, against his own self interests, and his eventual awakening to vote for his own self interests, and those that were in similar circumstances as he used to be, instead of against them.
He was in the Military, so he was getting low grade military pay early on, but it wasn't enough to sustain him in his circumstances, which he created.
He seems to be a self made guy, using Federal programs and the GI Bill to get ahead, taking advantage of what was offered. That's what they are there for, for a step up so they are no longer needed. He should be applauded for that, not derided. I guess he's being ridiculed because he's now smart enough to see how dumb he was in his younger self, voting Republican against his own self interests?
He woke up, and wised up, and he regrets he didn't wise up earlier. He IS a Liberal now, but not as soon as he should have been, based on his own circumstances.

No that is completely false. Middle income jobs have been going bye bye since the late sixties intro the 70s. Your whole premise is insane. I'm an operating engineer so yes I know what hard work is like. But suggesting that people should be forced to work 50 + hours or even 100 like you said to live comfortably is beyond belief. We are human beings. We all deserve to live comfortably. We all deserve to have health care provided. It's not based on willingness to work. That whole argument is a myth and with time I could prove it with statistics if you would really care to have a civil debate about it
We deserve life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Nothing more. You want all the rest? Work for it. The hours I quoted were the hours I choose to work, to better myself and my family. If you are unwilling or unable, the government can help you help yourself. You ruined any chance for a debate with me by opening with your first sentence.

Not everyone is even capable of working a job period. Let alone working 50-100 hours. If you worked that many hours more power to you and I'm sure you were rewarded for that. But you can't require people to do that just to survive. I agree the government can and should help people. My whole point is that the middle class in our country just continues to get destroyed by the corporations and wealthy class. The destruction of unions has played a big part in it

Guesser: so anyone who does not agree with you is a clueless partisan hack. My reaction to this stupid ass thread is that it is a stupid ass thread, that reflects on the member who started the thread. Unlike you I am not predictable other than I am anti-Obama for all the right reasons. Unlike you I came to this forum for all the right reasons, it is a sports forum. That is sane and normal. I maintain a quality thread in the college football forum. My thread speak for itself. My perspective on college football is outside of the box and anyone from any political side is free to make comments etc. That is what a forum is all about. What is not sane & normal is to dwell in this part of the forum as if you are going to change someone's opinions by posting stupid ass threads like this. Get real. Anyone who questions someone's sanity because they do not agree with them is not an independent, they are die hard Alinsky. Your zipper is down every time you post on here.

Forget this idiot Troll Cuntrade, seriously. He's here to stretch patience until it snaps and the layer of concrete that enshrouds his brain is impenetrable. Best to scroll past his scribbling.

We all deserve to live comfortably.

and if i don't feel totally comfortable who, pray tell, will help me out? oh right, the people that are working to actually make their OWN lives comfortable

But in order to receive a blowjob there has to be a blowjobber. That might not make her comfortable. Or you'll have to do a TON of abdominal stretching. That might make you uncomfortable. Failed System!

You have got to be kidding me! We all deserve to live comfortable? I deserve a lot more than what I have achieved.....who can I write and complain to? I am pissed that I only have a house in ATL and another in Destin FL. I deserve a house in Steamboat because I work 60 hours per week. I also put food on 60 families table.....so I deserve more?

I have had some shitty employees that failed drug test, lied, didn't show up for work because they were too lazy to get out of bed.....their ass got canned......then they tried to claim unemployment......but that scum deserves to live comfortable because they are a human?

People like you go around sad-sacking it, living full of envy, and is the biggest problem with America these days.......pathetic!

you guys are overblowing the term comfortable and turning it Into wealthy. No human should be homeless. No human should be unable to get healthcare. That is what I mean by comfortable.
It's not based on envy and don't act like I'm some freeloader wishing I had money. I do very well for myself but a lot of people are not that lucky anymore. I just want fairness in society

The GOP has chosen money as their God. Sad to see you can't even advocate for healthcare for families that can't afford it without being called a mooch or jealous. These guys rag on professors and scientists for not being millionaires. It's crazy.

You have to be shitting me. Obama spends half his time raising money, what in the hell is going thru your mind (or empty space between your ears). Obama is all about money. He vacations in million dollar homes. He did not have a pot to pee in until he left community organizing and jumped full fledge into politics. And who has ragged on professors and scientists for not being millionaires. They simply prove that those who can't do, teach. Families that cannot afford healthcare were getting taken care of long before Obamacare, they were simply write offs, except for the hospital that Michelle Obama worked for who bused them to other facilities. You seriously just don't get it and you never will. Mooches do exist and in fact prosper in our society. Meanwhile you probably knock American exceptionalism. Liberals love to spend other peoples money. We cannot afford to get any further into debt. Obama is the best example of a modern day elitist as are the Clintons. Made their millions directly or indirectly from our pathetic political system. At least Romney made his on his own and saved our Olympics for no fee. Do you see him out charging thousands to give a speech. Get real dude.
