I want to be a commodity trader - ?

What's my first step to get there?

I love the midwest and want to stay here and have decided that I want to pursue becoming a commodity trader.

Does anyone know what the fastest track to doing this is?

I am willing to go anywhere, do anything, work my ass off to do it. I will pay for classes and whatever else I need to do to learn.

Most of the commodity traders of the big time firms have degrees and MBA's from top 25 schools.

Not going to happen unless you are a MBA or ivy league or know someone special.
Lots of people want to trade.
