The name of the game was Omaha something.

You get 4 cards, and you have 5 comunity cards.

Is this game the same exact game as TH except you get 4 down cards instead of 2?

Omaha hi or Pot Limit omaha(which is played high), you get 4 cards, but you can only use 2 of them for your 5 card hand. You must use 2 from your hand and 3 from the board.

yeah its usually a high/low game. My advice, if you want to try to learn this game, start at very small limits b/c you can go broke pretty quick if you don't know the ins and outs.

Made hands on the flop are usually losers and don't call the turn and river hoping for a low if that's all you have going for you.

I actually enjoy Omaha H/L more than Holdem.

There is a Omaha hi. Mostly pot limit, but some no-limit. Pot limit Omaha is huge in Europe. Bigger than Holdem.

Yeah, it's a lot of fun. Just be careful, board doesn't play. you must play 2 of your cards at allt ime. I learned the hard way.
