I am not sure if you all have heard, but early Thursday morning, a Rice University basketball player lost his life. Jon Bailey was an extraordinary young man. My relationship with Bailey dates back almost 9 years, and everyday I knew him, I learned something new and exciting.

He and his twin brother (another good friend of mine) decided to go out on Wednesday to celebrate their 22nd birthday. A fight broke out inside of the club and later moved down the road. Both Baileys were jumped and stabbed numerous times. Jon, who was stabbed 7 times (once in the heart) was pronounced dead upon arrival to the hospital. His brother was stabbed 5 times and is now in fair condition, after once being listed as critical.

It has been hard to talk about this situation. I have been thinking a lot and I don't think that anybody deserves to lose their life, especially at 22 years of age.

We are not sure what started the fight or what was said, but nobody should carry a knife to a college bar with an intent to maliciously hurt another human being.....

I know some of you might not care, but I figured that I might be able to find some comfort through therx.. and my RR homeys.

R.I.P. J Bailey...you were an inspiration to everyone

At this point the only positive is the state's execution of those involved - did they catch these POS's?
