According to who?? Fasting has been proven to be affective and actually has many health benefits.

Harrington, I think you're wasting your time talking to these nimwits - the diet works and has alot of health benefits - if you're eating enough variety of foods you will not be nutrient deficient - and yes, fasting like this is supposed to lead to longevity of life - the diet is hard because you may get hungry at times - I prefer to eat small every 4 hours starting with lunch - this way I'm never hungry and I keep my calories down - but what works well for someone may not work well for another - exercise is important but not if you eat 4 rib eyes and 3 pies a day

Any extra calories consumed from his munchies is negated by him going up and down the basement stairs to hide his smoking.

:smoker2:

It's quite clear he needs to leave the bong in the basement - everytime he goes to blaze it he should be panting from exhausion

What you are doing is unhealthy but in principal correct. The best diet and the only diet that you can maintain for your life is watch you caloric intake. I went on a diet a few months back and could counsume 1400 calories a day to hit my target. You are doing the same thing by eating 1 meal but it is unhealthy and unrealistic to do this long term. There are a ton of websites where you can track your calories each day. It works and will be easier to maintain. Just my 2 cents

Low carb and exercise is the only way to go. Cut out the starches and add in extra veggies and you'll be just fine. I've been at it now for some time and I look and feel great. These extreme diets never work. No one can sustain it so hopefully it's only for a month.

doin 6x a day/ eating every few hours isn't bullshit.. if you are trying to workout/gain muscle and burn fat, it will be much more effective over the long-term than this provided you are eating the right foods. This also poses a risk to ur body because you are depriving it of nutrients over a long period of time.

I just went to the library and picked up The Warrior Diet. I'll let you know what I think (not that anyone needs my validation).

The Warrior Diet. You fast for 23.5 hours between meals, eat a nice size dinner and I have been walking about three miles a day with weight training every other day. I feel fantastic. Started at 237 down to 220. The six small meal a day theory is bullshit. I don't even miss eating all day anymore and I can eat pretty much whatever I want for dinner.

How do you even make it into the gym...There is something you are leaving out. You gotta be taking supplements or something!

No way you can go 23.5 hours plus 3 walk without food..

Only way u coulda lost 17 pounds if you were obese. Starving then eating heavily should mess up your body..
I would say this is dangerous thing to try, probably end up giving 70% of those who attempt it ulcers, highblood pressure and a long list of other possible side effects.

I am gonna do a week long low card (not NO_CARB) diet to give me a small boost on my weight loss. I naturally only eat two meals a day with may be a bowl of cereal some where in the 24 hour cycle. I am trying to lose about 15 lbs then i will switch diets and gym work to tone up on my muscles.

this sums it up.

This diet works like most diets do because losing weight is a simple math problem. I do this all the time (not this diet but a diet that counts calories). I lost almost 25 lbs this winter over 3 months (always works out to 2lbs a week or so).

Bottom line you are just burning off more than you are eating daily. I say keep it up Harrington. You will not put it back on if you continue to eat less than 2,000 calories a day, plain and simple. The reason this worked for you is because of the structure it gave you. You could change the hours, the meals, the whole concept of when and what but the point is dont eat over 1,500 calories a day. You obviously arent consuming 1,500 daily calories (usually the amount most normal sized men can consume and still los healthy amount of weight).

Godd luck!! Happy for you buddy. I know there arent many better feelings than doing a weight loss regiment and sticking to it, seeing results and most importnatly having others notice also.

Well said. I am dumping the fasting as of today. Many have convinced me that this is dangerous. I will try and eat two meals a day and walk 2-3 miles a day keeping my calories under 1500. As for the 17 lbs. I lost it did indeed happen that quickly and I am surprised as anyone. Weighed in this morning at 221 lbs. I'll post my weight again in two weeks.

I love ya harrington and wish you success but that is not a healthy way to lose weight. Small meals and exercise works better.

And I just read the replies and realized my response was late as can be. Don't mind me.

I dont know if this has been covered yet but the problem with this is your going to slow down your matabolism to much, you body evolves fuck I cant spell worth a fuck I think I'm boarder line retarded.

Anyway the biggest factor to losing weight is your matabolism, you body is smart and built to survive if you starve yourself like that your body after thousnads of years of evolution thinks that your out of food and to survive it uses less energy and slows you matabolism thats why eating many small meals is good it does the opposite . When you finish your diet your matabolism is going to be very slow then your going to starting eating normal again and you body is going to think I should store some of this food as fat just incase you run out of food again.

Thats why people gain all the weight back after a diet
