Jeremiah Sanders was working in a back yard in Pleasant Rrairie when a log got stuck in the machine.

He stuck his foot near the opening with the chipper running and was yanked in.

I couldn't do nothing about it. I didn't know what to do. I was just horrified. I just was hoping for his feet to come out, and they never did," Sanders' nephew, Adam Sanders, said.

Sanders was 30 years old.

He leaves behind two daughters and a baby on the way.

Occupational Safety and Health Administration said the death investigation could take up to six months.
