If you don't, they are good, surprisingly good. Good enough to be a giant slayer on a good day! Clemson although they are talented, had one of the worst offseasons of any top 50 team. They have lost so many weapons over the last 4 months, and from last season . Returning is only three defensive starters and a makeshift OL. Also they have the ACC opener with LVille on Thur. on national TV! The press didn't ask Sweeney about App St, only about LVille... that supports the view that App St could be overlooked. How about losing the best coach on the entire staff, former OC Chad Morris is now at Smu, that loss hurts. I'm on the +19' and feeling very good about it (as well as +11 1st half and mL +725). This is a live dog! Of course i've been wrong before!

Last year, Clemson (at home) beat Georgia State, 28-0.
App State (at home), beat Georgia State, 44-0.
You're right. App St. is good. Winners of 7 straight. Two shutouts.
But today will not be their day.
Can't really say why,
but I believe the clue is available for all to see.
It's all a matter of knowing what to look for.
And why.

Admirable sentiments and some accurate info in your anaysis; HOWEVER, Chad morris was not even close to the best coach on the staff. He was too afraid of the running game, didn't know how to gameplan for Cole stoudt (as evidenced by the bowl game), and was outclassed by a country mile by brent venables. Morris inherited and maintained (to his credit) all the talent in the world on the offensive skill positions, but decent o coordinators are a dime a dozen honestly. Any knowledgable clemson fan will tell you the real miracle work has been performed by brent venables. How stoops and oklahoma ever let him go is beyond me but he is in the top 3 d coordinators in the country. He is unreal at containing the modern quick spread. Probably the best in the country.

Top play brother, i owe you one. I pounded this a day or two after you posted at -17, and it played out like you said. Actually some journalists predicted a tight affair at the start and Clemson to run away in the 2nd half, but they did it in the 2nd quarter. Awesome game to watch! Drinks and strippers on me next time I pass through SC :toast:
