Found him in Salitral, completely covered in mange, starving to death, with an electrical cord/leash around his neck. Originally I planned on just removing the cord and then continue on my way but by the way he looked at me after taking it off I realized that he wasnt very accustomed to people doing anything nice for him, if anything the complete opposite so there was really no way I could leave him there.

I was going to just bring him to a shelter but the vet seems to believe that if i take him to the shelter they will put him down because of his current condition but with a couple weeks of treatment he will be good as new. Since Im not a fan of having some poor dog's blood on my hands it looks like Im moving to a place that will allow me to have him.

Currently Im paying the vet to keep him in their facilities which basically means he is stuck in a cage(which is preferable to being tied to a tree in the rain without food but still not that great). I plan on going over there as often as possible and take him for a walk as well as helping with the shampooing and paying for the medicines and injections but I really need to get a place so I can keep him.

If anyone knows of any apartments under $500 with a space for a dog please let me know.....And if you are a good samaritan thats not afraid of having a mangey dog in your yard, having a place to park him for a couple weeks would be a life saver(i of course will pick up all his food bills and take him to the vet every three days to recieve his treatment).

Help

NES, I take in Brock Lee every now and then, might as well take in another ugly looking mutt...will always help when it comes to animals...seriously.

Send me a PM.

Thats awesome Hater, If I dont get a new place soon I will take you up on it for sure(temporarily of course) but since you already have a dog I prefer to keep him at the vet until he gets past the contagious stage(I would hate to see your dog get sick because of your big heart(god did i just say that?). You are a kind man errrr Hobit Hater, thanks man.

I got one from the second day, he had already been bathed once, Im going to take one tomorrow as well when i go to visit him to. I'll post both just to compare and see what a difference a few days of can make. He has already shown a nice balance of playfullness and obedience, Im pretty sure he is gonna be a kick ass companion.

yeah, well those pics are from day two, he had already been bathed, fed, injected, and had had his eyes completely cleaned out the day before. He looks about ten times better now(six days later) than he does in those pics.

the slime around his eyes is a reaction to his skin infection, although it will clear up on its own with the treatment, we are also cleaning his eyes everyday as well as applying medicated drops. you could barely see his eyes when we first found him, the vet had completely cleaned his eyes the day before, that goop actually accumulated overnite.

Let's get down to brass tacks. How much for the ap
