I'd be very interested to see your stat sheet, demonstrating that Sirbet's casino does not cheat.
Look people, I don't know how else I can say it or prove it to you, but this is not about bitching about sour grapes. Yeah, sure, I'm pissed that I was stupid and blew 2/3 of my profit, but I can live with my own errors -- and believe me, as a five-year gambler, I've made more than my share of mistakes, bad plays, overshooting my limits, playing too long etc. And I've lost a helluva lot more than $15K too. The difference is, if I lose money because I picked 8 straight losers in the NBA, I'm pissed at myself for being a bad capper, but I'm not angry at anyone else. When I go through a ridiculous streak as I did at Sirbet, I think my suspicion is justified.
For the record, the exact figures are as follows (just calculated):
First 610 hands (played over several days), profit of $19,643.50
Last 662 hands (played in one afternoon), loss of $13,774.
All hands played with perfect (to my knowledge) basic strategy and no counting, and with a house edge of approximately 0.98%.
Yes, I know anything is possible. Yes, I know that that with the rule of independent trials in effect (as Sirbet claims to "shuffle" every deck before each hand is dealt), it is just as possible to lose 500 straight hands as it is to win 500 straight, to split 500 hands, or any other permutation (not exactly, but you know what I mean.)
But no, I still don't believe that I was the victim of a round of 'bad luck'. There were just too many losses, suddenly, and in a row, at a time when Sirbet had great incentive and unmitigated ability to cheat. The shift was too great and too sudden to assume anything otherwise.
Again, if you have a stat sheet suggesting something else, I'd love to see it.
