NCAA is a trainwreck,
- Conferences in shambles,rivalries broken forever, geographical insantity
- NIL open bidding for players, the rich get richer, more every year, hockey stick curve for the big dogs
- open yearly transfers with no "sit out for a year" penalty makes every year a free agent clusterf*uck
Oregon to the BIG is a joke, they offer absolutely "O" lol. There are no TV eyeballs to entice the networks and Whoregon is nothing but a glorified Junior College. Why would the BIG, a conference of huge $ research universities want a crap irrelevant school only propped up by Uncle Phil's $$$. Nope not happening. Stanford Washington and Cal fall into the proper categories, TV Markets worth pursing and major academic universities, like USC and UCLA
I wouldn't be too surprised if the Big 10 goes after some ACC schools like Florida St along with UNC. Think of the opening of the recruiting that would go on in a new territory for the Big 10.
The problem with OR/WA in the BIG 10 is that the whole reason UCLA/USC came to the BIG10 was to have a recruiting advantage in CA over the rest of the schools in the conference. Bring in any other PAC12 schools and they lose that advantage. However, I think schools like Ohio St, Michigan and Penn St likely get what they want out of California anyway. Stanford and Cal outside of academics offer very little fan base and wouldn't draw the viewers to the games. Speaking of which doesn't the BIG10 have contracts with not one but four networks as it is. They would likely need another deal to show whatever amount of additional games they would need to broadcast. Are you doing that with CAL/Stanford? NO! OR/WA probably, Florida St/UNC absolutely not just for football but think of the basketball implications.
NCAAF has gone off the rails and there will be a crash and burn that will take place which will ultimately bring a split up of these super conferences and we'll be back to more conferences once again. It's totally inevitable because only so many can make the playoffs and if your chance is super limited, it makes sense to go ahead and try to give yourself a better shot.
We'll look back at this nonsense some day and go why did this even happen.

Oregon is better off going independent than joining a overrated conference like the Big Ten. Money would be the only reason.Most of those schools , including UCLA and USC don't belong on the same field with the Ducks. If the Ducks schedule includes Rutgers, Minny , Purdont, NW, Iowa, Nebraska, Maryland , Indiana, fucking count me out.

Outside of Ohio St, Ducks out recruiting both conferences the last few years.
Ducks have the best Football/ Basketball combined programs with any BIG Ten or Pac 12 Team..
Sounds like the Pac 12 might be toast, supposedly Arizona and Arizona St officials are meeting tonight to vote on a jump to the Big 12. In addition, Big 12 officials will be meeting tomorrow to push this through, assuming the move is approved, which is extremely likely.
It will be a free for all following this move, as conference likely implodes. Unfortunate, but their inability to secure even a remotely competitive TV deal and years of mismanagement at the top have caught up with them.
